All-Time Division I-AA / FCS Standings Since 1945
The culmination of the past three weeks worth of playoff games saw the top two seeds, Montana and Villanova, pitted against each other at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, TN.  Ultimately, Villanova pulled the upset 23-21 over the top-seeded Grizzles.

Villanova, this year’s surprise team, capped a one-loss season on their way to Tennessee by posting big wins over Temple, Richmond, and William & Mary with the lone blemish on their schedule coming on the road at New Hampshire.

While Montana had a formidable offense, Villanova boasted one of the best weapons in college football in Matt Szczur, a running back by trade that also plays quarterback, wide receiver, and returns kicks.
FINAL BRACKET
Villanova 2009 National Champions
Armanti Edwards closes his career at App. State with back-to-back Walter Payton Awards, two FCS championship rings, a monumental upset win against then-No. 5 Michigan, and all the accolades that come with making us actually care about FCS football.

Although his passing stats were a bit down from 2008 form, his versatility as a runner and passer were unequaled by anyone the Mountaineers played.

2010 FCS Preseason Poll
1.  Montana
2.  Appalachian State
3.  William & Mary
4.  Villanova
5.  South Carolina State
6.  Southern Illinois
7.  Elon
8.  Richmond
9.  New Hampshire
10.  South Dakota State
11.  Delaware

Villanova won it all in 2009, but doesn't have the talent to repeat.
Montana can never be counted out.
William & Mary could be in the title game.
Appalacian State will see what life is like witout Armanti Edwards.
The title game has been moved from Chattanooga to Frisco, Texas, and will have to compete with the Cotton Bowl.  Too bad for the FCS.  No team within 600 miles will be in the championship game.
2009 Single Game Attendance
Traditionally Black College Rivals have top 11 crowds with Bethune-Cookman vs Florida A&M playing before 59,418
